Hello, I am Hans Boomsluiter
As an instructor with a passion for teaching and as a fisherman with a passion for fly fishing, people came my way in my life from whom I could learn, I consciously sought them out. My first teacher for casting was Sepp, my first teacher for salmon fishing was Jos Vanrunxt with whom I made many fantastic trips to Russia. I learned salmon fishing in Canada from the many enthusiastic guides. I learned to build rods from Ton Temming from Traditional in Utrecht, a man who has built rods all his life, he taught me everything about material. And from Janot Castermans everything about split cane. And we practiced casting for 10 years at the Haarrijnseplas, thanks to all the students, by means of the “FreeClass”, that was 10 years of fun and educational, there I was able to cast with everything that a line can be on. And I met a lot of great people there. In the meantime continued by the students with the name Spey Casting Friends.
